In the name of God Amen. I Donald Mcinnis of the township of Chester and County of Lunenburg, yeoman, being very weak in body and of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God. Calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed all men must die do make and ordain this is my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of the Almighty God that gave (it?) and my body recommend to the earth to be buried in a good Christian burial at the discretion of my executives nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and astounding such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life. I give diverse and bequeath the same in the following manner and form. First, I give and bequeath John my son one half of my farm lot where I now reside being the north side of said lot also my daughter Catharine, Mary Margaret & Nancy the other half of the said lot to be equally divided between them with a cow and feather bed Catharine excepted from the cow and bed. Also, my youngest daughter Lucy two lots four acres more or less each being numbers 28 and 29 on Oak Island.

Also, my son Donald all the remaining part of my real estate with all my household goods debts and movable effects by him to be enjoyed providing he takes proper care of his sister Lucy finding her sufficient bed and board during her natural life or until married paying all my just debts funeral and other expenses and I also appoint Anthony Vaughan Jr. and James Smith my executors and hereby disavow revoke (?) all and every other testament will legacies request and executors by me named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this fourth day of January, One thousand Eight hundred and twenty-seven.
